As this term comes to an end, you have two weeks free of classrooms and uniforms up your sleeve. However it can be tricky to think of things to do each day, and it’s too easy to waste the days away doing nothing. It can also be hard for your parents to keep you occupied, as they juggle work and attempt to find activities that won’t break the bank. 

To help conquer any boredom, we’ve listed out sixty simple yet fun ideas for how to make the most of your time these school holidays.

If you’re a foodie…

  1. Learn to cook a recipe. 

  2. Treat your family to a homemade breakfast in bed.  

  3. Host a high tea for friends. 

  4. Start your own mini garden in your backyard. 

  5. Taste a variety of snacks from different countries. 

  6. Try your hand at making your own kombucha. 

  7. Visit a farmer’s market. 

  8. Binge-watch Masterchef NZ.  

  9. If the weather is playing its part, go for a picnic. 

  10. Get takeaways with friends and have everyone order on behalf of another person. 

If you’re wanting to get active…
