My Version chats to Kiwi stars and people of influence to give a glimpse into their time as a teen and see the things they are currently obsessed with!

Say hello to Kiwi Country music darling, Abby Christo.

Obsessed RN.

Currently bingeing:

‘You’ on Netflix. Creepy but binge-worthy!

Song on repeat:

Last Night - Morgan Wallen. Most of his streams are probably from me.

Favourite Insta account to follow:

@wetheurban – I am a sucker for inspirational quotes and I love this page because they aren’t cliché, cheesy quotes, they’re really deep and I think it’s worth checking them out.

Must have beauty product:

Sunscreen! And Benefit lip tint. (I use it as blusher and a lip tint which is handy to have in my handbag).

The item of clothing I’m definitely over wearing:

Boots, boots, boooots! Haha. The more country, the better.

Currently reading:

I just finished ‘Where The Crawdads Sing’ – It was so hard to put down. I am on the hunt for the next good book.

Snacking on:

Blueberries and pickles. Not together of course… but they are my go-to snacks and I always have them in the fridge.

Can’t stop watching on TikTok:

True crime, videos of hair transformations, and prank videos!

Dreaming of:

Cowboys… (JK) I am dreaming of travelling the world, and playing shows in different countries. A holiday in the tropics would also be kind of nice right now.

Next place on the list to travel to:

Nashville, Tennessee. I am going in April, and I cannot wait! I have been once before, but this trip is longer and after not being able to travel for so long, I am so ready!

I’m currently inspired by:

Live music! I have been to a few concerts lately (Post Malone, Kane Brown) and just watching them play live and live the dream is a real inspiring feeling. It’s magical.

My favourite way to relax is:

Cleaning (strange but it really relaxes me) I also love a nap or a walk.

I stay healthy by:

Walking, keeping my diet as balanced as possible, napping when I have been working hard, and laughter!! Laughter is so important for both my physical and mental health.

When I was younger…

If I could give my teenage self one bit of advice, what would it be:

Don’t listen to the bullies. There is nothing wrong with you. Being cool in school will mean nothing when you leave, but it’s also okay to do what you need to do to get through it!

My dream job as a teen was:

Singer. And it’s happening!

My favourite part of being a teenager was:

Spending every weekend with my grandparents at country music festivals. And my grandparents picking me up from school every day with posters of me singing in the windows of their car. I was SO embarrassed then, but looking back now it was the best thing ever.

Best piece of advice I ever received as a teen was:

‘Go get em’. Seems simple and take it how you wish, but I love it.

My first job was:

At my parents café making coffee and serving/ doing the dishes. I think it built my social skills.

My biggest inspiration was:

My family. They introduced me to all kinds of music, showed me the ropes of the world and supported me every step of the way. They love life and they laugh a lot, which reminds me not to take things too serious and to smile.

One thing I love about Gen Z is:

Tik Tok dance ability. HOW!?
